JULIE CLARK brings patriotic aerobatic flying to FINA-CAF AIRSHO 2004

MIDLAND, Texas (September 20, 2004) – Award-winning veteran pilot Julie Clark will take the Mopar T-34 to the limits of its flight capabilities at the Fina-CAF AIRSHO 2004, scheduled to take place Oct. 2-3, 2004, at the CAF in Midland, Texas.

Entertaining millions of people annually, Clark is North America 's only solo T-34 aerobatic performer. Her unique performance of "Serenade in Red, White and Blue," with a specially added patriotic tribute, is beautifully choreographed to Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA ." Multicolored wingtip smoke is used during the performance with dazzling fireworks as the finale.

Clark, a lifetime member of the CAF, has been a pilot for more than 30 years and was one of the first female pilots to fly for a major airline. She has logged more than 25,000 accident-free hours in the air and is checked out in more than 65 types of aircraft including the B-17 Flying Fortress and the PBY-5 flying boat.

After more than 24 years as an aerobatic airshow pilot, Clark has earned a long list of awards and honors. Her most recent and perhaps highest honor came in March 2002 when she was inducted into the Women in Aviation Pioneer Hal of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the aviation industry as record setters, pioneers or innovators.

Clark will perform both days of AIRSHO . If you are interested in an interview with Clark please contact Tina Corbett at (432) 563-1000, ext. 2231 or (432) 638-3846.
